Plant and project documentation of power and processing plants. As-built documentation

Plant documentation is commonly referred to as “as-built” documentation. In the course of assembly or installation, the following documents must be provided to the operators:

• Plant description
• Functional description of the entire plant and its constituent parts
• Operating and maintenance instructions
• Technical drawings and plans
• CE marking, manufacturer’s recommendation, certificate of conformity
• Inspection results and inspection reports

There are different reasons for why customers are missing documents or these documents are no longer valid:

• Changed government regulations
• Changed government requirements and/or standard requirements
• Old plants with undocumented modifications
• No prior as-built documentation
• Loss due to force majeure
