Creation of Pipeclasses and -standards
ICB calculates and establishes based on specific requirements and individual prediction pipe classes for all common service media and material categories
Based on the properties of the service medium and the assigned application the requirements on material, design and execution of a pipe component is derived. During this process it is important to understand, that not only technical requirements but also economical aspects can play a major role. Due to its key function in project planning and realization the applicable pipe classes must be confirmed by the customer. In many cases it is required in addition to undergo a conformity assessment according 2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive) via a Notified Body.
